Man, a few fighting games still do this. Particularly the Soul Calibur games, which tell you to press 'K' or 'B' or whatever. It's not that hard to figure out what's what, but it's still pretty counterintuitive. If I'm playing the game on a console, just show me which buttons I need to press instead of telling me abbreviation of the name of the type of attack. Tekken highlights which button on the pad you need to press, so that's perfect.
