Which is better for casual playing at home, an original GBA with a backlight mod or an SP with the 101 screen? I'm looking to get a new GBA to play my Pokemon Silver cart as well as Emerald so I can connect to Pokemon Gale of Darkness

You can also add a grip to an SP

I find the ergonomics of the original GBA to be the best. The SP has my favorite d-pad and buttons, but as a grown man it's just too small for me to hold comfortably.

I agree with this one. SP used to give me cramps when I was 10, I can't even use it now.

SP D-Pad is GOAT. Personally, I can comfortably play with it for extended periods of time. I think it depends on the way you hold it. The micro on the other hand was unusable for me.

I always wonder how big are the hands of people who complain about SP size. I bought it as a grown man and never had problems holding it.

People with normal-sized hands gripping it like a retard, or fat fucks crimping their sausage fingers around it.

The shoulder buttons are best too, IMO. I did eventually wear my R button out, but I could never pull off a lot of the trickier stuff in Metroid games as well as I could on the SP.

I've played plenty of Pokemon on the SP too, I think it's quite comfy.

The GBA isn't allowed here, sorry OP.
