How do you force 240p/480p on these consoles, I just got a PVM:

Famicom AV
Dreamcast
Sega Saturn
SNES
Ps2

I've only tested composite video because I'm waiting for my RGB cables. The picture looks surprisingly good for composite but I'm still looking to achieve the coveted scanlines.

Pretty sure you can only set progressive on ps2 games that support it. And I believe SNES naturally outputs 240.

Uh... you should be getting scanlines since the NES and SNES output natively in 240p. Most Saturn games are 240p too.

They all output 240p natively although I'm sure that some Saturn games will change between 240 and 480 on things like menus or FMVs

They output 480i

With Dreamcast you need a VGA cable to get progressive although not that many games use it.

You can actually force 240p with PS2 if you want to be that much of an autist

But only certain games, usually legacy collection, stuff can force it. Although there are some like Ico and Tekken 5 of all things.
