I'll bite. You're allowed to be wrong but at least research before making definitive statements like that

Oh right you don't care enough to. Save yourself the trouble and stick with phone emulators. You're welcome.

mod a saturn is expensive and bad, you have to burn CDs and you need clean iso copies.
It's a pain.
The thing is: where to get a modded saturn for under 500 dollars?

If you were living in Europe, I could sell you one, but you are probably not interested in pal switchmodded units.

I'm out of ntsc units to sell at the moment.

You can treat yellowing, unless /vr/ can tell me why such methods are harmful.

I don't think they are harmful (although I believe some methods can damage the plastic if you fuck up, not sure), but personally I don't mind yellowed or other imperfect things consoles like Saturn, PS or SNES might have with their plastic. In fact that's kind of romantic, like the yellowed pages of an old book. The thing is, even if these plastics may have changed their color, they are still as sturdy as ever, they didn't actually degradate, color is a cosmetic thing, it doesn't influence neither the functioning of the system, or its physical features, at all.

>unless /vr/ can tell me why such methods are harmful.

It doesn't treat the yellowing, it just removes a layer from the plastic. Sure you'll see the nice clean white/grey console underneath, but in a year it'll turn back into yellow (the chemical instability that causes yellowing is still there). Additionally, since you removed a part of the plastic, it gets progressively more brittle each time you do the treatment.

That is unless someone came up with a better/different method that isn't the retrobright hydrogen peroxide trick.

Yeah, you smoke in your 3m^2 condo and leave the units out in the sun. The last "Saturns for 500 yen" sale I saw on Yahoo Japan had units like in this pic.

European Saturns are treated the best, though. Of all the units I bought in my life, JP ones were sunburnt half the time, USA ones had mould/rust/roaches on the inside, but EU ones had scratched plastic at worst. And they come with built in slow to install 60hz switches on too.

>> No.4226904

>>4226897
> built in slow

* built in slot.

As in they have an unpopulated connector specifically for that, you literally just pop in a switch to the pcb, no need to raise pins or any of that junk.
