I just beat Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. I love the old west theme. What are some classic /vr/ western games?

>Cowboy Kid
>Wild Gunman
>Gunsmoke
>Gunman's Proof
>this one chapter of Live-A-Live

I'm sure there's gotta be more.

sadly, it didn't feel like a western in the actual gameplay, only in the opening movie. the actual game felt more like a generic jprg fantasy universe. not saying it's bad in any way, I just wish it had had more empathis on the wild west theme.

Fallout is a mish-mash of different things. I guess it's gonna get as close as you can with RPGs, since your character basically IS that travelling gunslinger who solves towns problems, so if you like that concept, you will like Fallout.

However, it's at the same time post-apocalyptic black comedy science fiction, so it's not exactly pure wild west.

Can't get more classic than Oregon Trail. Of course, it's probably one of the most realistic and gritty games on the list. I can't remember many games where your party member can shit themselves to death.

Also I'd say Desperados: Wanted Dead or Alive is a great one but it misses being retro by like one year.

That actually makes me wonder. What are there Western-themed RPGs in general? Fallout sorta fits, there's one section in Live-a-Live, there's Wild Arms. What else is there?

It's really strange there aren't more. I guess Japan doesn't like them, but you would expect American studios to have made some since a lot of the people who were old enough to do so were likely the kids who grew up in the 50s when cowboys' popularity was at its peak.

The Britannia stuff is extremely tame, you don't even have elves and dwarves.
