Not related to the original subject, but they use RGB output now to a Framemeister then to recording gear and then output composite from that to the TV for Arino now (not then). And of course never on Famicom games. But wherever possible, the signal is RGB when recorded now. Scope the difference on newer episodes on systems like Mega Drive and PC Engine.

I recommend aiming for Shouko on the first playthrough. You practically have to take an effort to fuck that up.
Satomi on the other hand is very picky in the required stats and will try to set you up with Shouko so it's probably the best to save her for last when you have a good grasp of the game.
The other girls mainly depend on excelling in one stat and getting their encounters
Take notes who is in what location at what time. Many events have a small timeframe and you don't want to waste too much time on an empty trip or phonecall.
Spending two times a week in a work area should be enough to trigger most events there so spread your schedule. You won't land the dishwashing lady by washing dishes all day.
There is no route for the sister, she's the consolation prize if you didn't get the girl you asked out.

My bad, I should have given you guys a status update. The guy from the pastebin crew gave me the SA team's email address, so I sent them the same email. They said they're not planning on subbing the Minecraft episodes and that they don't really have a working release system, so I guess I'm on my own.

I finished the first episode yesterday, although there's still on-screen text to translate and timings to fix and minor stuff like that left. I could keep working on it for days if I wanted to, but I'm mainly a translator and I'm still a noob when it comes to typesetting, timing, animations and stuff like that. Anyone willing to help me with that kind of stuff?

Also, can I upload it somewhere later and you guys do some QC for me? There may be typos, weird wording etc. Do I upload just the subs or do I have to hardcode them first? I used the highest quality version of the youtube video to make the subs.

The quality in that Re-rip is much higher than a lot of these older eps. Much higher bit-rate. Yeah, the original camera isn't great, but this is entirely watchable. A lot of the oldest eps are in such poor quality that they're nearly unwatchable.

And it's been mentioned before, but hard-subs are beyond retarded. Soft-subs are portable, and can do everything hard-subs do. You can have text other than the bottom of the screen, covering signs and so forth. Now if you want to see the re-rip subbed, you need to hardsub the entire file again, and distribute the complete file.

Rips should be separated from subs. That way when a new rip comes along, you just port the sub files over, and change timing if needed.
