Remember to bring your new friends to Magicant, OP. Buy all the pendants and weapons and equipment they need, and grind around Queen Mary's castle, the enemies there aren't that strong so they will make your new friend level up but you won't.

Mother 1 is quite an experience. I have to say, I probably wouldn't have beaten it without the GBA patch. I feel that's how the game should have played though.

Also, is there a way to prevent you from losing Teddy after the giant robot attack?
I heard recruitting him after the event prevents his death.
