Anyone have experience with snes chinese bootleg flash cart? Is it as good as sd2snes? If so where can I get one?

it werks

>> No.4197090

It works but sometimes it can take over a minute to flash a new rom while the sd2snes is always very fast. This and the sd2snes has just slightly higher compatibility

It's an exact clone of an older version of the Super Everdrive which is a different product from SD2SNES. It only has a slight difference in a few components that make it incompatible with newer versions of the Super ED firmware so don't try to upgrade one.

It works. You'll want to get a Class 10 card for it though, because sometimes it can be sssslllllooooowwww to load with any other type of card. Even with the Class 10, it still can often suck. I got a Sandisk Ultra 8GB, and that definitely helped over a standard SD card.

Wasn't there some reported potential issue regarding voltage, or was that a meme?

theres always a risk when buying chink shit

>> No.4197606

if you get one make sure you have a fast flash card or the games will suffer

Patience is perfect. I don't mind letting it load if I don't have to pay $200. Buti can't find any bootlegs on the internet, Google isn't very helpful

How so? I have tried atleast 200 to 300 snes games on the Super Everdrive with full compability

The SD2SNES can emulate the DSP chip that some games like Super Mario Kart or Top Gear 3000 use. (both of which are outstanding games if you're into the racing genre, by the way)

and both which cost just a couple of $

The only other noteworthy titles it currently can do that the ED can't:
Mega Man X2
Mega Man X3
Star Ocean

It's a meme, there's zero reports of the voltage thing actually damaging a console.
>>4197568
This particular 'risk' exists with Krikkz' official shit too.

>> No.4198513

>>4198506
of course, im just saying that you cant always trust chinese sellers since they will scam you every now and then and aliexpress is more prone to side with sellers

i got a chink everdrive myself which is working would never buy from Krikkz, just wanted to point out to be careful when buying from chinks

Totally fair point. I have a chinese EverDrive N8 that's been working perfectly for a year or two now. I have an official Turbo EverDrive, and the quality difference is negligible, and they didn't have chinese clones of the TED when I got it. (they do now). Honestly I feel pretty burned that I paid the Krikkz tax for the TED and he's basically abandoned it, it never got any firmware past V2 even thought the device is quite capable of other features.

>> No.4198574

Top Gear 3000 is actually a $30-ish dollar game, and Megaman X2 and X3 are both $50 or more. If you really like those titles, it may be worth it to bite the bullet and get the SD2SNES.

>> No.4198586

Just buy the sfc versions to get by cheaper, but yes it can be cheaper to just get a SD2SNES depending on which games you want that only it can run.
