Uh no. I don't know what made you think that. Rhodesia and South Africa were rich, modernised countries whose black inhabitants contributed to society mostly as manual labour, while the white minority contributed everything else (unlike their modern incarnations Zimbabwe and post-apartheid S. Africa)
Thus when I implied that my park would run similar to these countries, I was implying that everything would run smoothly because I willl have white mechanics and executives, and black janitors and shop workers.

Intensity alone doesn't make peeps prefer one ride over the other but peeps have a preferred level of intensity and will generally only ride things that meet those requirements. If you have a top spin that is set to beginner and one that is set to intense peeps who prefer intense rides may pass on the beginner ride and head for the intense one.

Peeps can disregard their preferred level of intensity under certain conditions though. If they're really happy they may ride something more intense than they prefer and it may cause their preferred intensity to rise a little. Guests sometimes just ignore their preferred intensity to go play golf or ride go-karts also. I think the game makes peeps *always* ignore intensity for transport rides just so they don't get stuck.

It's a good compact coaster but maybe a little to compact. Looks wise the twists, turns and drops look a little to tight and the intensity rating actually reflect that. 7/10, disregarding scenery.

They're all quite shit desu. It looks like you don't have any plan when you start building a coaster so you either build a way to big lifthill (like on the vertical coaster) or you're forced to build 2-3 lifthills because you run out of momentum.

Colour schemes and scenery are shit I agree, I usually just leave the default colour on and go straight from building one coaster to another. If I'm playing with friends I actually put effort into scenery and paint jobs so we're not all spending large amounts of money at once.

As the maker of >>4209343 I like it! Maybe add a few more hills and helixes to pad out the length, but overall it looks fun. Of course, I'm biased towards Arrow for some dumb reason. I really wish when OpenRCT gets further along we'll get banked curve hills and large loops for the corkscrew coaster. That way I can better build my alternate reality where Arrow didn't go bankrupt and stuff like Tennessee Tornado ushered in a new age of competitive loopers.

There's no easy solution for that problem. In RCT2 Chris decided for realism reasons it was better to split them into distinct coasters with different track elements and certain limitations. You can't really change that back without altering the game. When I said merging the mini coaster and the giga coaster I was specifically referring to the track, the only change would likely be cosmetic. The coasters would still exist as separate entities they're just not counting the track as separate. Like how the twister coaster(and its many variants) and vertical drop coaster share track.

First one, fair enough, but the problem is, I don't really know how to make slow speed inversions in combination with keeping the momentum.. I have no idea. How am i supposed to make like 5 inversions, but have all of them be slow speed? Having them high off the ground not only wastes space, it looks ugly. no clue in RCT3 either, so that doesn't help.

>>4265992
The most simple answer is start with the big ones and build smaller as you lose momentum. RCT2 is limited in that there's practically no medium size inversions, but you can work around that by slowing the train down with hills, a Mid Course Break Run or change in terrain elevation. It also make sense realistically, as most big roller coasters start out with loops, huge zero-g rolls, cobra rolls and other big inversions and end with rolls and corkscrews.

Image related is the best example I found among my screenshots. It's not heavy on inversions but show an example of what I mean quite well.

Yeah planet coaster (and sadly i suppose rct world as well) are rather good at allowing anything to be scaled and custom made, since they're not grid based like RCT1-3
But hey, limitations are good sometimes.
And in Collab parks, having a small space also counts as a challenge, right?

Hey guys. Playing OpenRCT for the first time. People mentioned there were all kinds of 'built in trainers' but so far I haven't seen many...

Main thing is I want Quarter loops, Corkscrews, Large loops and Barrel Rolls in my Vertical Drop Coaster. How do I do that? I went to the Efteling on Monday and I want to recreate the Baron or something. Can I do that in OpenRCT or do I need to use 8cars like always? Also, how buggy can that get? :s

For the sake of not just posting a question but also some content, here's my recreation of Python from the Efteling as well (Netherlands). I only realised just now that I unintentionally mirrorred the start with the chain lift.

>> No.4287407

>>4287382
Uh, maybe it will work if you switch back and forth between the trains. They do use the same tracks after all.

If you can't build holding breaks while you have Dive trains equipped you'll have to use track merging like back in the old days. Just turn of clearances, build the breaks where you want them and connect the track on both sides of them.

>> No.4287419

Then there's a second problem. The hold for drop brake goes from horizontal to steep immediately. If you try to do that with a Twister, it will convert it to a 4-square-long big steep-to-horizontal transition meant for high speed drops with low G's.

This is NOT the reason it isn't working, anon. Because if it was, all those rides you see in the title screen wouldn't have people in them, would they? They'd only be testing.

RCT Noob completed, but god damn.. Parks that want 750k or more park value are ridiculous. There's absolutely no time to make things look nice, you have to just focus on repairing benches, and BUILD RIDES FAST. I was building a second hypercoaster or yet another hyper twister and before I could even get the bump from completing it my park value would drop by 80k already. Building pre-built rides and launched freefalls seems to be the only way to fight it

I disagree, I think it has a lot of real-worldly elements. Scenery will spruce the place up a LOT though.
>Lift and first drop nestled comfortably in hill
>coaster area demarcated by fences
>station starts underground, coaster takes you outside for a view
>the name is suggestive of the themeing
>guests get a chance to ogle the themeing around the coaster while walking around
These are all things a real life park would definitely do. I guess you could argue that it's 'forced interaction' of elements, but that holds true for real parks as well. That's kind of the point.

If anything that ugly ass roto-drop with abstract (???) entrances is the thorn in my eye. But I'm sure that'll get fixed. Good job.

Stats wise maybe, but for better looking coasters you really should put more thought into them. For example, don't build higher than you need, if you only want two corkscrews you don't need to build a 40m high coaster. It's a waste of in game money and it looks quite stupid. And you really should use banked turns at high speed, it will work miracles on the stats.

Your line should be long enough to immunize against fluctuations in riding (especially on a rainy map) but short enough that you don't have people waiting endlessly instead of spending money.

Looks to intense for me desu. But on the other hand I've never managed to build a decent Vekoma flyer and I've played this game since release.

7/10. The junior coaster looks great, and the variety of trees is good. My biggest complaint is that Steeplechases don't really look too good that high off the ground, that layout would be much better suited to a more conventional coaster type.

Really comfy and nailing that hard to define RCT look where you try just enough without going all NED on us. I agree with >>4335137 about the Steeplechase coaster.

I like balloons in different colours.

>>4334834
Is this big enough? First time I'm using giant screenshot. I'll get the other sides, too.

Streamer I watch did this. 6 rocket loops crammed into the same place, each named after a Power Ranger.

Rediculous profit

Yes, yes, way to rub it in.
I managed to both miss the white rails on the green shuttle. and thought the black shuttle was part of Claustrophobia.
