Tetris. What else could it be? It's not my favourite DMG game, but there's no way I can seriously answer this with anything else.

>> No.4178803

>>4178794
Beyond Tetris, though, there are the obvious answers of Donkey Kong and Link's Awakening, but you shouldn't forget Kirby's Dream Land and Metroid 2. oh and pokemon

I'm intentionally ignoring anything black-cart or GBC, because that's a whole other story.

but really, it's fucking original tetris.

You can use the hand-stand jumps to cheese those in about 90 seconds. They're such a tiny fraction of the game I can't believe you're actually complaining about them.

"Complaining" is a strong word, friend. This thread asks for the GOAT game(s), I am merely saying that DK94 would go from 9/10 to 9.5 (and potential GOAT status) without them. Even if they're short they do still make the flow of the game feel a bit weird.

It'd be weird to the flow if they were stages you played in world 5. But they're baby-tier intro stages and are necessary and perfect where they are.

Tetris
DK94
Link's Awakening

Glad to see DK94 getting some love. I feel like it is underappreciated outside of enthusiast circles and it is a stone cold masterpiece.

I've played both and the only difference is GBC is in colour while GB is B&W. GB version also might have more slowdowns whenever you get hit, can't remember if GBC also did that.
