This game not as bad as everyone makes it out to be, I liked it. its kinda hard but remember playing this with my bro for hours. So /vr/ what are some games that you like but everyone else hates

The Avgn even said later on, that he likes the game, and was just nitpicking the hell out of it to be funny. the game nowhere near perfect, but it aint bad. sadly, this game will be forever remembered as a bad game just because of the fucking avgn.

really, wouldn't even call it bad, I think if you have had a lot of experience with the atari 2600 games and compare it to other atari 2600 games, it's just a game that was medeocere both because it was rushed and because what it was trying to pull off was a bit too complex for an atari 2600 games. I can actually see how it got it's "worst game ever" status, atari 2600 games are very simplistic and limited games and some one going into it without being familiar with what the games are like (which I'm pretty sure a lot of those kids that labeled it that did) probably WOULD think it was the worst game ever. I might get yelled at for saying this, but the atari 2600's library did not age well and only has like a small handful of games that are still fun today.

This game has become a gold standard for bad games after the AVGN episode, and I doubt the majority of people who bitch about it have actually played it. It's a vaguely interesting game, you need to play it a decent amount to get the hang of it, and you get decent satisfaction in progressing. It's not amazing, don't get me wrong, but it's not the pile of shit people make it out to be.

His second review of it is pretty accurate, I think.
It has some weird features. The clues are ultra-vague. The boss screen are hilarious because you can pass through them. Dracula is wicked easy.
This was one of the first games I beat as a kid. I did use the Nintendo Power issue to look up stuff, though.
