Damn, people here have given a majority of the stuff I would. I'm trying to think of Japanese only games but the thing is with how insanely popular the snes is a lot of the best Japan only games have received fan translations so I got only a few games.

bump, moving to Japan in a few weeks. I actually have a Japanese super famicom here in the UK that got mysteriously sent to my office addressed to someone nobody had ever heard of. Eventually I took it home because it went unclaimed but never used it because I'm inefficient

I just bought a bunch of games off Ebay. I bought all of those games, Seiken Densetsu 2 and 3, Harvest Moon, Lufia 1 and 2 (Estpolis), Dragon Quest games, Donkey Kong games, Zelda, Street Fighter, Super Game Boy, Breath of fire 1 and 2, Mario Kart, Mickey, F-zero, Bahamut Lagoon, Romancing Saga Games, Magic Knight Rayearth, Lion King and Aladdin.

I've played all of the games on emulator before, except Dragon Quest, and I really wanted to have them for real.

If you're going to buy from ebay, you should really check out the auctions instead of the buy-it-now items. You can get a little yellowed Super Famicom for around $16-18 with free shipping, and I bought the Final Fantasy games for $1 a piece (I had to pay more for shipping than for the games).

You know what's even more sad? Acting like you're some know it all and projecting your problem on someone else. Be honest, what reason do you have to get super famicom games specifically? You can easily get the JP roms somewhere else and run it all on a flash cart so the price tag is not the reason. It won't be a matter of nostalgia unless you actually live or have lived in Japan in the 90s. I'm sure the only reason you're buying it from them is so you can build a wall with those games and show off to your friends online. But sure, call me mad if that makes your argument better in your head.

You know that the Japanese Famicom looks just like the European SNES, right? Not all of us are from the US.

I'm not too fan of flash carts, then I'd rather homebrew a Wii or play on an emulator. I've played these games a lot on emulator, so it's kind of nice to have them for real instead of as a ROM on my computer.

Being a grown up I can afford buying them. I never could as a kid. Not that paying a dollar a game is expensive.

You've got pretty solid list of Super Famicom recommendations already, so here's something to consider: pick up a Saturn and some games.

It's a fantastic time to collect for Saturn, JP prices are rock bottom and you can get the games in absolutely pristine condition. Tons of really good games that never made it to the west.

I assumed OP wants to get a super famicom just to play the ones he listed above and as stated before, there's not really a reason to get the JP versions unless you're a speedrunner and need to use them for the exclusive glitches or if you just want to get the JP version just for the sake of preferring japanese stuff. Hell, I bought a few PAL SNES games recently so it's not like I'm against the idea of buying older games but I just wanted to help him out. But nooo, fags like you have to get even more defensive.
