Just keep in mind that it doesn't work with every game. From my testing it works with Mario 64 and Zelda games, but doesn't work well with Banjo and doesn't work at all with DK 64

it's not wrong, but if you have issues like objects popping into the 4:3 region or UI elements being drawn that are supposed to be hidden off-screen then it's really uncomfy.

Yes, on a 4:3 screen. Not on a 16:9 as widescreen is not always 16:9.

Just google this shit, tons of examples. Fullscreen is a term used when widescreen tvs where new to help people know it wasnt widescreen. When widescreen tvs got more popular the phased out fullscreen. Jesus nerd, you sat on the Internet you can look this shit up.

"Fullscreen" like the name implies mean that the screen is full. You can have any kind of aspect ratio fullscreen.

The "fullscreen" DVD examples you're providing are aimed at retards, people retarded enough to prefer watching zoomed-in cropped versions of movies because "muh black bars". They used a retarded definition of the word "fullscreen" so that the retards target audiance can understand, and stopped using it when 4:3 TVs stopped being the norm and it was no longer needee. "Fullscreen" isn't the same thing as "4:3".

I don't mind it in something like GZDoom but I tend to stay away from it in emulated console games. The fact that you have to deal with either a centered or stretched HUD is a dealbreaker for me.
