I didn't, there was a thread to discuss Treasure, and the only arguments anti-Treasure guys had was "overrated", and "nintendo fanboys like them".
>Reality is people are just sick of seeing you treasurefags circlejerk over their less than mediocre games
Well, maybe people are also just as sick of seeing you anti-treasurefags having a hateboner for no apparent reason other than being contrarians.

>> No.4087570

Treasure fans have a weird victim complex where they think their games are hated more than they actually are.

Like there's this idea that the shmup community hates Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga, but you'd have trouble finding anyone who has a more hateful opinion than "Dodonpachi/Garegga is better".

After you play Alien Soldier/Gunstar Heroes, you have two options: admit that every other run and gun is lazy and uninspired, or attack Treasure. It's the same with Ikaruga and shmups. The creativity Treasure brought to game design is challenging for insecure people. No other company gets attacked the way they do because no other company made games the way they did.

I don't waste my time with second-rate games. Elitist? So what?

I can't wait to have '16-Bit Console Sound Hardware Autism War Thread #765890658'! This time, with what is most likely the same person posting audio from the Genesis Ren & Stimpy game as proof that the Genesis sound hardware is dogshit for at least the fifth time this year alone!

You don't understand. They made games for Nintendo, as in, not the consoles, but games that would appeal to people that like Nintendo games. Sega fans/arcade game fans hate on Treasure because they casual-ize their style of games. This is why they're considered mediocre: they don't capture what arcade-style games are really about when they're made more accessible. That's why people complain. They make Sega/arcade games for people that don't like Sega games.

Or at least, that's my theory.
