you kidding?

in terms of accuracy? pc, all the way. Always. In terms of general usefulness/utility? I use emulators on my phone a hell of a lot more than I sit down and open an emulator on my pc nowadays.

It's the same. Phones are generally weaker which is the main reason games run worse on them. Although my 3yo phone emulates NDS and PS1 just fine. It does struggle with N64.

All of them are locked-down garbage you have to fight with before you can use them as you please. The Vita hasn't even been fully compromised and the PSP is simply not powerful enough to run accurate emulators.

The answer to that lies several pages deep in a stack of papers down a winding rabbit hole.

In a word: accuracy.

>PSP is not powerful enough to run any type of hardware emulator correctly

It sure is more powerful than the N-Gage and DS in nearly every way, though. Also, it depends on what system is being emulated. NDS, Atari ST, N64, and 3DO surely not. But if you are emulating something the Fairchild Channel F, NES, Master System, Atari 2600, SNES, Mega Drive, Odyssey 2, and some 1970s-early 1980s computers, its usually an at least slightly better bet.

>PSP is not powerful enough to run any type of hardware emulator correctly

...I never said that at all, quit being retarded. I said it can't run *accurate* emulators well. If you're fine with fucking SNES9x or Desmume then by all means, be my guest.

>accuracy
Yes Accuracy can be a hard thing indeed. Sometimes I wonder, If the Sega Saturn's Copy Protection can be fully cracked like it was back in 2015(which was only about 2 years ago), and PS1 emulation is more than okay by now, then possibly in 7-15, maybe 20 years, N64 emulation outside of the VC will be at least slightly better if not substantially better. Remember, many people used to actually think that above-passable emulation of the Saturn was either a lost cause or a task for madmen due to its graphics being based on quadrilaterals instead of triangles as well as the way its multiple CPUS were designed.

>> No.4089096

>>4089083

A very special person took on Saturn emulation. That is the only reason you're getting anything at all on that front. Unfortunately, we're all out of exceptional people for the N64. I think it will indeed take another decade before the fruits of some rather recent gains on the '64 front become usable on consumer hardware.

Also, just an FYI; the Saturn and PSX emulation on mednafen is mid-level, nowhere near the accuracy of mGBA/Higan/GPGX. It had to be so or they wouldn't be playable either.

Sometimes, rooting, and/or jailbreaking is worth it to get more out the the your Android Tablet or Ipad.
Not just emulators, but more wallpaper themes and unlicensed apps.

Snes9x EX for ios runs better than any other system i've ever emulated snes on.. idk what the deal is. going back to the 3gs/4 or so, its always run perfect for me. Made me absolutely hate snes emulators for pc

>> No.4090189

Nintendo ds emulator on my phone is great especially for games like pokemon and animal crossing. Snes is great too. N64 was good most games didn't work and overall didn't run smoothly like snes/ds but still always fun to play some starfox or goldeneye on long train rides. I can't compare to pc because I never used emulators on pc but I just feel like I won't enjoy it because I want the authentic feeling I grew up with. The sound of a crt tv turning on. Putting the catrige in etc. Being on the train it's different like using a game boy on steroids or something.

Given that Androids framebuffer adds atrocious input delay - No. Emulation on phones is garbage, regardless which phone. Using a bluetooth controller is even worse, enjoy your 100ms+ input delay.
