why has this meme of N64 being the only good console of its generation become accepted in the general consciouness of today? just name about any revered PSX/Saturn game and everyone will cry "OVERRATED! AGED LIKE MILK" while creaming themselves to N64 games running at 15fps. Also a similar attitude is started to be seen in regards with the next gen (PS2/XBOX overrated, GC full of "hidden gems") but this is not the place to discuss that generation.

Come on memekid, your post wasn't about Saturn and PS having good titles, your post was about supposed boogeymen who like the N64 and hater the other 2, which simply doesn't happen on this board, a lot of /vr/ loves the Saturn.

The "general consciousness" has absolutely no opinion about video game systems from over twenty years ago, let alone opinions about the relevant merits of individuals within that category.

Not at all the case. One or two people will bitch and moan about literally anything you post about because there's always at least one person who is just shitposting for attention (like you). If anything more of this behavior is directed towards N64 than those other consoles here on /vr/ (which you clearly wouldn't know).

N64 threads are like 75% people bitching about how N64 was a "normie" console for babbies, how everything is blurry, how it's annoying to get RGB out of it, and how the state of emulation for it sucks.
