Tomb Wader has expertly placed boxes, enemies, and obstacles that allow the player to completely bypass the water no matter what its elevation is if they just git gud. It incentivizes players to master precision jumping, putting greater emphasis on it than any other level does, in order to speed through the level. Being a Sphinx level adds to the awesome factor.

What does Ruination provide? I'm not attacking you, I just wish to know your reasoning.

You mean the NSane trilogy? Terrible remake. Graphics are decent but the fact is it's not optimized well at all. By the looks of it you should be able to run it on a mid-tier PC with 60fps and yet they failed to deliver that framerate on a console. It's more worth emulating the originals.
Tbh I'd still have bought it had it been released on SteamOS.

Best "traditional" level: Road to Nowhere
Best gimmick level (vehicle, running toward screen, etc.): Unbearable
Best Boston fight: Tiny Tiger (Crash 2)
Best Death/Gem/secret route: the skating route between Air Crash and Snow Go in Crash 2 (to get the Red gem).
Toughest level: Mad Bombers (Crash 3 - level 24)
Worst level: any underwater level from Crash 3
