Adventure Island II and III are so much better than the original which is kind of a POS, while the original is a taxing piece of shit the later two sequels are a joy to play, very underrated platformers. IV didn't get released here and is extremely hard to find for the Famicom but that's really good if you want to play a rom or buy a repro cart.

If you like Summer Carnival 92: Recca, also check out Crisis Force, Gun-Nac and Uchuu Keibitai SDF, all really good Famicom shooters that really pushed the hardware to it's limits.

Not in the US, of course. Here, you'll probably have the most luck finding a NES reproduction cart. There was a small production run of an incredibly lovingly made repros, but that was some time ago, and they're long since gone...

Mine is Hi No Tori. It's a fun little Konami platformer. You turn enemies into blocks, collect them, and then you can use them as platforms. Never made it to the US unfortunately.

this and some others are listed on unknown gem listings on the net and they are right. conquest of the crystal palace is really good. maybe the color palette includes too much of the same color but anyways a must play. and you will need a walkthrough in that section which turns out to be an endless stage.
