I wouldn't even need to do that. I know I already have both upgrades since they drop whether you have the weapon or not, I'd just need to spawn in the weapon it self.
I might file a complaint for it being way too rare if I beat this set and I STILL haven't gotten it. Looking in the code it has a 1/7 chance to spawn. The Chain Gun is rarer from the weapon spawners, but you have all those Razers that can drop it.

Not sure if I can change mid-playthrough while still loading from a save, but I think I'll do a full run with the mod unmodified before I start tweaking it to my liking. Was already going to remove that rock trap attack from the Cyberdemons, so this will just be another thing to tweak.

The old version had some duplicate names and errors in it. It won't work in Doombuilder. Here's a new version with everything in TX_
and all the errors fixed.

So i've been on a heavy fps kick lately, trying to replay a lot of stuff with different mods and such. What are some of the best/most interesting mods for Heretic and Hexen?

I love hexen to death, did co-op with a buddy through the whole game on the N64, way back when, but it does feel a little...dry. Just something simple as a few more weapons and enemies would work. nof opposed to full conversion insanity, just something to get that dark fantasy spark lit again.

I've played the main game, death knights, and...i think it was called necrosis? I believe that's really all. Sorry if this is stupid/annoying, I just seem to have issues finding decent Hexen mods...

Yes, but the original is very hit or miss.

The add-on, Route 66, does a good job at keeping the good stuff while trying to hide the issues the original has.

The sequel, Rides Again, is amazing and very underrated, and it fixes most of the flaws of the original.

How do I set up the mess that is DRPG/DRLA? The former is considered a dead mod and there's a new version of the latter coming out. I've also heard the DRPG launcher has issues with something or other.

I have it working now, mostly. I'm using GZDoom 2.1.1 because DRLA 1.05 calls for it. I currently have an old version of DRPG because the OP forum post says the latest version doesn't work with the current DRLA. Is that a mistake?

I'm asking because I'm getting a glitch with revenant sounds where they play constantly at max volume no matter where I am. It's driving me a little crazy. I had it working right so they only scream when you shoot them at one point, but I broke it again. Could someone that has it working list their GZDoom version, what version of DRPG they're using, and whether or not they're using the launcher? I mod Bethesda games, but this confuses me.

Hi, I am currently trying to make a custom HUD face for a sprite. Can somebody tell me how it actually works? I followed the tutorials to the letter and it just doesn't work. I have a custom face name (AHN at the moment"), and I name it accordingly. It just doesn't appear in the hud. I thought it might be an issue with the graphic itself, but copying the STL and renaming it accordingly also doesn't work, which is why I think that it is an issue with the lump itself. All the face wads I inspected use STL as name for their faces, but if I do the same, it takes the standard face.
Does anybody have an idea what could possibly be wrong here?

The one that changes based on your health? I didn't really like that because as my health varied I would sometimes fail to pick up on my crosshair because it was a different color.

I'd rather someone outright make a mod for a Half-Life 2 style crosshair where there's two curved bars on the sides displaying health and current ammo/magazine.

I think he's talking about negative color crosshairs, where if your crosshair is on top of something bright it darkens and vice versa. Pointing your crosshair at a white background turns it black and pointing at a black background turns it white.

It has a little trouble when you point it at something very close to grey 128/128/128 though, but that's kind of rare.

having her NOT face the camera direction when shooting makes for a very awkward gameplay, where you have to aim at least horizontally through movement keys, or have a separate button that toggles the mouse aiming

That's probably a Shareware version of Quake, which includes only the first episode of them. That's perfectly fine to download and use, although you will be missing the next three episodes of the base game and the two expansions. Just finished both TNT and Plutonia with FinalDoomer

these guns are the tits, the dual Uzi´s and the high caliber machine gun are fun as fuck, still I feel like giving the pistols infinite ammo was a bad move, I couldnt resist the urge to snipe at hitscan enemies whenever possible since it was cheap and accurate.
Even when playing Plutonia in ultraviolence I felt like a was having little trouble beating difficult sections, and in the end the Icon of sin got dispatched with an indirect hit with the BFG replacement.

I just installed GZDoom in Xubuntu (the OpenGL renderer works perfectly while in windows dind't WTF) and imported the config .INI from another install.

Everything works fine except for one little thing: the monster and item sprites all have that shitty filter while the player hands don't. The option is disabled but the filtering is there still.

Why is this? Can you help me?

For singleplayer? Quakespasm or Mark V. They're both branched off Fitzquake which isn't developed anymore but is pretty much the go-to for "GLquake but with the stupid bugs fixed."

Mark V includes more customization options (included in the menus, too) and a software renderer as an alternative to OpenGL, along with support for a whole host of one-off things like Nehahra and integration with Quaddicted's map downloading (haven't tried this, I download and install everything manually); Quakespasm is a more sterile sourceport that expects the player to change some options (like texture filtering) through an autoexec.cfg file, but is light and simple and you can't really ask for much more.

Basically, doujins are self-published, may involve circles, and acquiring them can be a pain in the dick, like being of low print and perhaps even convention-only. The one that was linked earlier fortunately had a digital version (although untranslated) available for peanuts, which was good since it was too late to buy a physical copy from an online store.

For all we know, there could be Doom doujins that likely won't ever surface the internet.
