I actually agree with the dissent. Even the name of the game screams hippie shit.

I've never played the game - maybe I'm doing myself a disservice - but this crap seriously sounds like it was directed by Yoko Ono to me.

But, as I said, I never played it.

Played this for the first time two days ago because of one of these threads. I love the concept, but the execution is NOT good. It's just a sightseeing tour, except you can't interact with anything, the texture changes take a long-ass time to ever make a difference, and the movement feels VERY wrong and stilted, especially the goddamn footsteps. I'd expect easy-flowing movement to be front and center in this kind of game, but nope.

If there are any Eastern Mind fans in here who still have the game installed, I could use some help with something.

The very last screen of the game, which is basically "The End" screen, displays this message. I have been working for hours to figure out what it says, but it's difficult. A few of the characters don't seem to be anywhere in the in-game help book, or on that keyboard in the fire tower. So I'm hoping to possibly get some clues by comparing in-game words to actual japanese.

Anyone out there care to join me on this quest? So far what I have is, TO-N-NO-U-?-?-TU(or TSU)-?-KU

The first four obviously mean "Tong Nou", but after that I'm lost. The II could mean 2, and the words after could be a reference to Chuten the sequel, but the game also used I to mean both 1 and N, so maybe not. Other ideas off the top of my head are "Tong nou sleeps", "Tong nou rests", "Tong nou thanks you." Help?

Image spoilered due to being last image in the game (not much of a spoiler, though)

Apparently we should be calling Chu-Teng "Chung Tian."

>> No.405106

>>404985
The trouble is these symbols translate to english characters, but the encglish characters are only approximations of Romaji (Japanese in English), for example, Tong Nou is represented as TO-N-NO-U.

The fact that I don't know japanese doesn't help.

The symbol before KU could be a ZU or DZU sound, and if the two lines meant 2, that would only leave the one symbol to the right of 2 left untranslated. But even then it would only be an approximation of Japanese.

>> No.405165

>>405092
I think it is "Chu-Ten" as "Chung Tian" would be the Chinese reading. Then again I'm not really a fluent speaker in either language, I just know that they use the same kanji but read them differently.

So... Ripped directly from the ISO with the proper tools, we get the PSF-files which are responsible for the ingame music, sans cutscenes.
There's 490 files in total, which is a lot.
There's 14 areas with music.
There's 6 textures plus 1 set of extra "ambience" -tracks that seem to go with any texture.
Each area has 5 different themes for each texture.
And 14*7*5 does in fact equal 490.
Also, keep in mind there's a chance for total silence.

To clarify, there's absolutely no ingame music on Luc in the Sky with Dynamites. There is, however, a lot of music featured in cutscenes on LSD and Remixes. Not all of it though.
