What was C64's mascot? It HAS to be an exclusive title.

None? Why would it need a mascot?

Not even the Spectrum has one if you're going to discount multiplats.

I'd say Miner Willy is the iconic Speccy character even though indeed his games were ported to other micros.

I hate to say it but mascots can sometimes be multiplat or ported if talking about specific systems.

OG Xbox clearly had Halo-man as their initial mascot but it was never a full exclusive.

Sony used Crash for PS1 but he was on other Sony consoles.

Is there even a single mascot for a specific system that stayed only on that system, excluding mascots that were for a company/brand instead of that specific system?

During Commodore 64's lifespan every mascot was exclusive to its platform.

Wasn't that a game made for the arcades which was later ported to the C64?

Kinda looking that way. C64 sucked.

yeah but doesn't matter. It's the one game everybody remembers for being awesome on the C64.

was it a good system thinking of picking one up

>> No.4001718

There was no licensing to write games on it, as it should be for all systems that play games, so it's stupid to limit it to exclusives. Any publisher who wanted to make money would be releasing the games on Spectrums, CPCs, and every other home computer.

it's a forced meme from /v/

as for the op if it's not >>4001656 then it's pic related. the c64 was a grown ups toy and didn't need a cute mascot.

It was a great system but I don't see any point in having the actual hardware unless you're into that shit. I have one somewhere that I haven't touched in ages. I emulate occasionally.
