So I bought a dreamcast online a couple of days ago becasue it was really cheap and I remembered you could play burned games on it withouth modding. I expect to arrive tomorrow, but now that I'm digging a bit deeper I found out there are more a bunch of ways to boot back-up isos besides the most popular Utopia Boot Disc. Also, some say Utopia Boot Disc can damage games and cause glitches. What do you guys think and what do you use?

Aren't boot discs just for bypassing region lock? My dreamcast plays backups without any help.

Just download any isos that are self-boot because it's less hassle, and probably try to get the newest version as well. Don't get smaller ISOs because they will have music either highly compressed missing or completely compressed. If you're seriously into dreamcast consider getting the GDemu, then you won't have to worry about booting CDs or the drive eventually wearing out.
