Not sure if many people here will have played Hardwar (1998) but recently one of the original developers has been posting on a Hardwar forum about how he may do some updates for the 20th anniversary.

Personally I would like to see a Linux port or the source to be released but it would just be nice to know other people here have played it too.

Summed up my feelings about the game pretty succinctly.

First time hearing about it, but from what I just read, it looks like a great game.
Will have to check it out in the future.

The Designers Republic? Looks a lot like Wipeout.

Indeed it is. I love TDR, they've done a lot of great work for Warp Records (my all-time favourite record label), whose artists also appear on the Hardwar soundtrack.
