The problem with the "runner up" theory is that most of us follow Bootsy on twitter and know that the "ant-trump" tirade is a meme that never happened (probably started by Mike in here to cover his ass). I think when Bootsy announced that he'd been working on the Punch Out Bootsy Beats the same day Mike released his Punch Out playthrough (which was prerecorded game footage btw), it shined some light on to Mike's insane jealousy and selfishness. It sounds fucking crazy, but I really do think Bootsy got kicked out for being better at games and more liked by the fans than Mike, because it was a threat to Mike's reputation and career. The Game Sack parody video was disrespectful, mainly to AVGN, you could see through Joe's vitriol saying things like "I was raised in a Nintendo household and therefore I have no education on systems that aren't Nintendo", even though James owned a Genesis and had an Atari2600 before the NES, on top of having a ridiculously big collection of older systems like the Odyssey.
I gotta say though, Joe's impression on Metal Jesus and Mark are pretty good, I thought for those two, he was a better imitator than he is a video game reviewer.
Ironically despite finding this video a bit disrespectful and tasteless, it's still the best video Game Sack ever did.

So I don't get what his problem is? In his Persona review he praises it for splitting away from the mainline SMT franchise but then claims that SMTIf did everything better. I highly doubt he actually played SMTIf since he once said long ago that he couldn't read Japanese well (that was years ago then)

Apparently he played the original PSX game back when it came out and almost liked it as much as FF7 so that's cool. It's funny when you think about how much he hates that PSX/N64 era of games. Persona wasn't 3D so that's why he likes it I bet. But for some reason he doesn't like Suikoden?

I don't get why youtube thought it was a good idea to fuck with monetization to favor this level of video output. All it did was force pretty much anybody associated with the website to start a Let's Play channel, which just further saturated the already oversaturated Let's Play market.

I miss independent animators and in-depth game reviewers who didn't have to beg for patreon money after every video.

The cinemassacre guys will be fine anyway, if time has shown anything it's that AVGN still has one of the most religious fanbases on the website.

Maybe avgn is having a hard time finding a game to be angry at so he goes to a game store and runs into mike, who is dressed just like avgn. Mike ends it with a "diarrhea fuck fart" and avgn looks with a shocked face. He goes over to mike.

"I can do it!" Exclaims mike.
Avgn then removes his pocket protector and slides it into mikes pocket. Avgn uses rolling rock to anoint mike. Mike gets on his knees. Avgn pulls out a super scope and knights mike with it. Avgn exclaims
"I now proclaim you.... the Angry Video Game Nerd!!!!! Now rise and take the mantle."
Avgn walks into the sunset.

That or he does a Mandala effect thing and pretends Mike was always the nerd.
