I've heard that there are separate PAL and NTSC Amigas even though it is a computer. While this is understandable since it usually connected to a TV, I would like to be sure.

Yes, there are. You shouldn't be using an Amiga over composite though so the difference is minor and mostly can be solved through software. Some US games might have graphical glitches on a PAL system and some Euro games might have graphical glitches on NTSC systems. NTSC has more FPS, PAL has higher resolution but again they can be switched back and forth with software on Amigas.

I have a PAL Amiga, and I'm mostly interested in demos anyway, most which were made for PAL in Northern Europe.

Well there you go. Unless you ever hook it to a NTSC television via composite you'll never have a problem with it.

There are. I have NTSC Amigas and they run nearly all PAL stuff fine. I've known lots of people with PAL Amigas and they never complained about having problems with any of the 5 Amiga titles developed on NTSC machines
