well you already got blood so you clearly have good taste.

besides that id recommend beneath a steel sky, a point and click adventure game, and a pretty good one at that,
its free on gog as well so you wont have to pay anything.

https://secure.gog.com/gamecard/beneath_a_steel_sky

also not dos but blade of darkness is a pretty good game.

>Why
first pic I took with this fitler, and I fucked up the resolution.
>how
- first, you need d-fend reload (or a dosbox frontend)
- Next, you download this dosbox version: http://ykhwong.x-y.net/
- you use it to replace the dosbox you had in your d-fend folder
- now, you desactivate any filters you use with your game in d-fend
- you launch your game in window screen mode
- You must now see some an option bar.
- Click on Video->output->Direct 3D
- Click on Video->Resolution->Fullscreen->Desktop
- Click on Video->Direct3D Pixelshader
- Choose CRT.D3D.br.fx or CRT.D3D.fx or what you want.
- Go now in Fullscreen mode.
-Enjoy

People using filters for DOS games are particularly retarded, because those games all used line doubling on the original hardware and had sharp pixels with no visible scanlines.

Wizardry 4 will make you cry tears of blood.

Relatively forgiving, but still good, dungeon crawlers is the Might and Magic series. Start with either 3 or Worlds of Xeen.
A bit harder but also great is Dark Heart of Uukrul.

DOS games were displayed on "high resolution" (as it was called back then, low resolution by modern standards) CRTs. They never had visible scanlines.

Attached image is nearest neighbor scaled to correct aspect ratio using integer ratios (note that the pixels are not square, so it needs to go to a minimum size of 1600x1200), then converted to linear RGB colorspace, then gaussian blurred, then scaled back down to a more practical size with the imagemagick default scaling. The linear colorspace is highly important because without it the blurring will make the image look too dark.

This is how DOS games actually looked, not some ugly scanline filter. And if you want DOS games to look like how they should have looked if technology was better, just skip the blur step.
