What else should I play? I normally don't play RPGs but I figure I should get into them.

Zelda is an action-adventure series, except for Zelda II, which does have RPG mechanics.

And which Final Fantasy II are you referring to? Curious that you mentioned FF1 and 2, but posted an image of FFVI.

I'd say the Zelda franchise is an action RPG series. If you want more Roleplaying elements then surely Ocarina of time/Majora's Mask would fall into this category.

Stick at least one Pokemon title in there as well. Silver/Gold.

The distinction between action-adventure and RPG is purely mechanical. RPGs have traditional tabletop elements, like statistical attributes and experience levels. (or anything that might closely resemble experience levels, like random attribute increases after battles) So Zelda II is so far the only RPG in the Zelda series.

Action-adventure games have linear upgrades or items you collect as you progress through the game. e.g. In Zelda, you can find a finite quantity of heart containers to increase your health, but you can't actually go around grinding on enemies to raise experience levels and statistically power yourself up.
