The Micro is really more of a novelty than a practical hardware revision. The smaller screen makes the GBA's already small and thin fonts even more difficult to see, and good luck not developing tendonitis after 30 minutes of play time.

The original GBA was the most practical hardware version, IMO. Even though you have to cope with no backlight, the hardware is very rugged, not as prone to scratches and scuffs, fits comfortably in your hands, and can quick reset without requiring you to change position. Also, support for standard batteries. Who knows how long the SP and Micro rechargeable batteries will last, or when replacements will skyrocket in value on eBay. (Assuming you aren't buying Chinese aftermarket batteries, which are probably dangerous anyway)

The word you're looking for to describe the SNES ports is "washed-out", not over-saturated. The SNES ports are infamous for looking washed-out, since the developers intentionally brightened the palette to make up for the original GBA's lack of lighting. The SP 001's frontlight exacerbates the problem.

And the 101's colors are over-saturated because Nintendo had to offset the expense of the backlight with a lower-quality screen, which also has a worse refresh rate of 50 Hz as opposed to the 60 Hz of the 001 and Micro. At least know what you're talking about before spouting off like a fucking retard, fucking retard.

Yeah, no. The colors on the 101 aren't over saturated. Only issue with the 101 is slight ghosting due to a higher pixel response time.

>Size
It's slight bit smaller, around the same height. The only thing that bugs me is how flat the top is -- the shoulder buttons are not tilted and just sort of sit on the top and feel super floaty - so ultimately, instead of sitting comfortably in your hands like they should, it feels as though you have to hold it with the tips of your fingers.

>Emulation
SMS, NES, GB/C emulation is all spot on, even Game Gear emulation. PC Engine emulation is complete dogshit. No Super Nintendo emulation, making the X and Y buttons fucking useless.

Thanks. If only they had included snes emulation id have bought it day 1. As is, it seems like a solid system though.

Hows are d pad and face buttons? No stickiness or squishiness?

Is the button placement bad for games like platformers? Any way to change the inputs so Y is B and B is A?

The reason why some of the emulators suck is that the console is still pretending to be a GBA running emulators, so you're limited to the same performance as running homebrew emulators off an EZ flash or something.
