We all know that a lot of old games had a password function. Quick /vr/ are there some passwords ingrained in your mind still from when you were like 7? I still have one:

It was to get to the speeder level in super star wars return of the jedi

When I had rondo of blood and super castlevania 4 I never used the passwords except to access the second loop.
I did everything from the start

I'm fucked, the only games I can remember at the moment use 4x4 passwords.

A lot of retro games had password systems that were fairly easy to crack just by experimenting. I remember crafting a bunch of Mega Man series passwords with impossible-to-get combinations of items. If I ever find all of my notes, I'll be sure to let /vr/ know.

Oh shit I remember accidentally finding this as a kid. What the fuck was up with the name of that file? It was a bunch of random characters.

I >>387889 remember making some on Mega Man X2 or X3 with overlapping armor upgrades that caused some weird glitches. I think Mega Man 7 also glitched up if you made a password with too many weapons from the second set of four bosses before earning the first four.

Try this on Wonder Boy III: The Dragon's Trap (GG or SMS version):
>AC3E 3L0 004D Y0R

The Metroid password to play without armor isn't actually a glitch, it's a feature available if you finish the game under an hour.
