Just got a mega everdrive. It supports master system games in addition to genesis. I honestly dont think I've ever even seen a master system in real life. Can I get a quick rundown on what's worth playing on it?

I am one of the few people who had a friend with a master system and it was pretty surreal. This was in the mid 90's and we would sometimes play it when we were bored with SNES and Genesis.

The only games I can personally remember that were worth playing were the Wonder Boy series and Choplifter.

I grew up between the second and fifth generations, Anon. Genesis / MD unfortunately didn't have much to offer outside of platformers. RPGs were especially few in number. That isn't to say that some of my favorite games aren't Genesis titles though.

Just got one of this bad boys today, but I won a japanese Everdrive and the first game I tried to play is region locked , Beyond Oasis/Story of Thor, is there a region free rom of this game?

Just do this.
Cut 2 traces, Put in a 3 pole switch and solder 3 wires.
You could also get a 3 position 6 pole switch and combine it with an RGB LED which is pretty neat

It's nothing you'll need to super precise with.
This is easily doable by a beginner.
I guess there might be a program to hardpatch codes into ROMs but since you have an everdrive and that also supports codes maybe have a look at this:

You're welcome.
If you don't always want to re-enter the codes for locked games you can also make txt files for each game with the needed code in it.
You can then select the needed textfile from the everdrive menu and load the cheats directly.

Interesting, well I only need to retype de code if I overwrite by loading anothe game, it saves the cheats even if I turn off the console. But I'll make the txt files for every game that have region lock so I wont bother typing codes. Thanks again
