What are you currently playing right now /vr?

Picked up Ristar the other day. Currently on Automation World and having a blast! I've always heard it was gud. Now I can say first hand that it's actually pritty gud :^)

Gems like this are why I'll probably never stop playing retro games. Aside from replaying the classics, sooooo many games I haven't yet had a chance to play.

DUNE for Sega-CD came in the mail yesterday so that's the next retro game I'll play.

The botched final bit of the ice dungeon - they got rid of that puzzle involving the block being pushed through the hole and crystal switches.

Most of the time I cheated by getting the cane of Somaria from Misery Mire but that's not the point. I was actually looking forward to doing it properly this time.

And, only a small thing, but changing "faerie" to "fairy" was pointless. I liked the quaintness of the earlier spelling.

I like some of the changes though.

I'm playing the DSi version because I didn't want to get out of bed when I got the urge to play.

The 3DS (or DSi) camera takes a picture of you at every checkpoint with an unmuteable loud camera shutter noise. Do not recommend. I need to fix my Saturn.

But yeah I didn't like the OOT voice samples much myself. They've changed a few of the sounds - the warping sound isn't quite right.

Me, I'm playing Wizardry VII. This play through of Wizardry VII I'm trying multi-classing, seems to be working out pretty well although I'm only about halfway through the game.

1, 2, 4, 7, 8, Tactics and 12 are the only games in the series I care for. Some spin-offs are pretty enjoyable, as well.

Eh, I wouldn't go that far. I mean, the game seems pretty solid in most ways. It's just one of those games where they forgot to make it fun. The battles are pretty boring, inventory management is a pain, and the story doesn't exactly pull you in. Oh, and your fucking dad calling you every 30 minutes telling you to stop playing video games.

But, there's tons of games on the SNES that are virtually unplayable, so it's nowhere near the bottom of the barrel.

It turned out to be a bit much to get through all three levels with only one job with a Run command. (If only chocobo escape summon was 100%) so I backed out and changed to white mage, geomancer, black mage, and summoner and came back and wrecked the place.
Hopefully I won't regret using up those phoenix downs and elixirs on the first try.
