A second PC port of Biohazard 2 came out in Japan, on DVD, fully compatible with windows XP and featuring higher resolution and fps (for FMV's). Although most western players never heard of this port, an English patch exists.

There weren't any instructions with the one that I got. I saw some instructions that maybe coyuld have fixed my issue, but I didn't bother because of all of the other issues I saw that people were having. Don't have the patience until I start seeing a bunch of people saying that it works flawlessly. Then maybe I'll give it another shot.

Except the backgrounds are higher res too.
Also in the case of the sourcenext release there are higher res and smoother FMV videos, and for the original PC release, access to mods. A couple are worth playing.

I remember playing this on Bleem on my PC when it was just new. Of course PC controllers were still shit back in the day and I hadn't quite figured out the keys yet / wasn't sure if I had mapped them correctly and this is a VERY VERY BAD GAME to figure out your keys with. Zombies would attack me non stop while I was still trying to figure out the controls. I gave up. Maybe I didn't even have a controller and was trying to play it with keyboard. It was just a disaster running at like 10 fps because my PC was too weak.
