Let me use this bait thread to be honest: when I was in elementary/middle school, I wasn't into Zelda because of that. I was a dumb, impatient kid at the time who was (and still is) more into arcade games. It wasn't until last week that I finally finished one (Ocarina) and I really enjoyed it. I think my years of weird Resident Evil and Silent Hill puzzles prepared me for it. sorry for the blog
