What Mike's doing is the equivalent of a singer doing playback on stage. They do it because they are insecure of their talent, or they lack talent and it's easier than actually making an effort to improve. They lie about it, because they refuse to admit that insecurity or lack of talent, and because very little people would go to see a singer that's not singing at all.

TL;DR Mike uploads a video of him playing a game, people expect to see a video of him playing a game, not a video of him pretending to play game.

There, Mike said that Bootsy was leaving Cinemassacre to "foxus on his music, check it out guys it's really good!", and put a link to Bootsy's channel, where the last music he uploaded was like 4 years ago.
Then bootsy published a tweet in his twitter where he said he would be uploading a new episode of Bootsy Beats with Punch Out in his own channel.

That's when the pieces began to fit and people started realizing that the whole "Mike is a psycho" might very well be true.

All of this isn't based on speculation or gossip, but based on actual things both Mike and Bootsy themselves published.
A quick search on cinemassacre's reddit page and Bootsy twitter will reveal that I'm not lying.

I mean, the whole "Mike is a psycho and might have James tied up in his basement" is pretty silly (but not completely outside of the realm of possibilities).
However, there's some hard facts that you must have into account:

-Mike has been slowly taking over Cinemassacre, from being the "guy who does the MS Paint drawings" and the miney crafta video to basically the main host of Cinemassacre (Mike & James, Mike & Bootsy (RIP), Mike & Ryan/Talk About Games, Mike livestreams and now that Bootsy is out, Mike Beats).
-He gets ANGRY when he loses in video games. You can see it in the very videos. While James, Mike or Ryan just laugh when they lose, Mike curses and has some kind of small rage bursts. You don't see that too often anymore due to editing, but you can see it on his old livestreams or older J&M/M&B videos
-Something happened between Mike and Bootsy - nobody knows for sure but the fact is Bootsy left Cinemassacre. Mike made a post about it on Reddit saying Bootsy left to pursue his musical career, and almost as if mocking him, he posted Bootsy's youtube channel, saying "Here you can see his great musical talent", and the channel in question was last updated years ago, obviously Bootsy isn't working in any music
-Which was confirmed like a day later when Bootsy said he was preparing a Punch Out video of Bootsy Beats, someone asked if it would be on Cinemassacre, to which Bootsy replied that it won't, it will be on his own channel - nothing about music being mentioned, in fact making clear that Bootsy wants to keep making vidya content.

Honestly it's really two entirely different skillsets. I got pretty bored with modern vidya at one point a few years ago and basically stopped playing, going back to 8/16 bit consoles for a while and gitting gud at old shit. I can speedrun Contra now. Problem is, those skills do not transfer over to modern games, so things like waypoints and manuevering 3D space become pretty foreign to you.
