So I just ordered one of these off eBay for $60... I'm a huge Saturn fan, however other than the essentials such as Sonic CD and Lunar I'm not very well versed its library

I'm a big fan of shumps and I heard the Sega CD has a quality library of shumps. Is it true? What are some other hidden gems of the Sega CD library?

First, try the handful of exclusives that aren't FMV or graphic novels. Unless you into that shit. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Next check out any non-exclusives that didn't com out on better systems, or on better systems you don't have if you don't want to emulate. Some stuff was done better on the PS, others were only done better on jap systems you probably don't have and some peaked at the Sega CD.

The CD port of Ecco the Dolphin 1 is the best way to play the game if you've never had it before. The extra levels and revamped difficulty make the experience much, much smoother.

The Ecco 2 port is not awful either, but besides a few hidden video files and a worse soundtrack there isn't much for you there. Still not a bad way to play it though.

Generally untested will mean more likely hood of not working but a decent return policy and positive feedbacks can be encouraging. Most sellers would bother to get everything required to test something if it meant the worth of the item would skyrocket.
