THAT ONE GAME

Do you faintly remember a game you played years ago but can't recall it's name?
This is the thread for you.

>> No.3828986

I remember a game my dad had along with Lemmings and Mahjongg. It was an action game where you played a guy with a pistol shooting other guys with pistols. It was 2D and only ever a non-moving screen at a time and you'd move from screen to screen, mostly by entering and exiting buildings. Not much to go by, I know.

A NES game I am fairly sure. A sidescroller. The first level was on some moon base or something and you played an alien who had a little alien buddy and you shot a classic sci-fi looking blaster. I have never been able to find this game again in these threads.

Looking for a 90's snowboard game that I played in an arcade machine with a thick black joystick in the middle. If I remember correctly, in one of the stages there's a big jump and while you are in the air a train passes beneath you.

Played on Windows 3.1, on a diskette given to me by my cousin. You played as a tank (?) that shot bubbles on a board that looked like minesweeper. You started on level 1, and I think you needed a key to get to the next level for the first few levels, then the areas began to branch/wrap around, forcing you to explore the 'world' to unlock more areas/keys. I know enemies existed, and shooting them with the bubble cannon stopped them. I also feel there were find able items for the tank itself, allowing you to shoot different bubbles/open doors/entire different areas ect.

It was a puzzle game on the PC I played at least 10 years back. You control a little blue smurf or something, in a 2D top-down garden maze. Each level consists of collecting keys to unlock doors and reach the exit. There was an order to things as one mistake could force you to restart.

Alright. There was this one game back in the windows 98 days that I remember had similar gameplay as Spy vs Spy.
The split screen was the same.
Had the same gameplay mechanic of setting traps for the other player.

I think there were multiple enemy npcs simultaneously.

Each character was different. not just a palette swap like Spy vs Spy.

I remember one character was a blonde woman and another was a detective looking guy in a trench coat and hat.

The characters were short and cartoony.

The game was 2d same as spy vs spy with the screen acting as the 4th wall.

16 bit looking graphics

Not sure if it was in DOS or Windows.

The version I had as a kid was broken. It would randomly crash in 3-5 minutes after launch.

I remember even writing down the name when I was a kid so I could find it when I grow up.

Never found the paper with the name or a screenshot in all these years.

Pic sort of related

There's this memory I have of going over to my neighbor's place and watching them play a 3D adventure game where you're controlling a typical alien-looking character, walking along a path, possibly shooting, collecting stuff (?), and I think there was a grounded spaceship somewhere on the map. It captivated me at the time and to this day I've had no luck in my google searches.
It must have been a PS1 game. At one point I was sure I found it when I stumbled upon Terracon, but, while close, that doesn't seem to be it. The gameplay is similar, the alien character too, but I remember that game being more vibrant, more colorful (although I only remember the first level).
I don't know, maybe I'm misremembering and maybe it was Terracon (but it just doesn't feel right).

This is what Terracon looks like:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GA_e5c3XG80
Is there any PS1 game similar to this? Any help would be appreciated.

Used to play this one point and click adventure game at a buddies house. Graphics were very 90's cartoonish. The plot I think involves escaping this island with your friends/family and herbivore dinopals. The island has a volcano about to erupt, possibly already erupting. The part that always stays in my mind most vividly is this maze under what looks like some sort of burial ground. I could never solve it but always got spooked by the hissing or growling going on.
Haven't posted in these threads in a while, but maybe some fresh anon will help me out. (It was on my friends PC in the late nineties or early 2000's, so apologies in advance if not retro, but this has bugged me for years now.)

kinda top head view old pc game from around 1997-2000 with kinda chibi 3D graphics(?) where you played with different characters and explored some dungeons and places. you could get companions and had space for two items, there were diffferent classes to pick, magics, weapons, etcetera. the levels werent really big though, but it had different enemies and a boss in the end. i think the name had "p" or "po" on its name. it was fun as fuck but i never found it again

there was a lava level, a city level, a sewer one, dammit i dont remember enough, just that it was good. you could play with other people too iirc

3D MS-DOS fighting game.

I remember one character was a minotaur.

The action took place on a simple 3D plane with no textures.

The characters had no textures just different colors for the polygons.

The animation was kind of bouncy similar to Ecstatica.
