Hey /vr/. I'm looking for 3D platformers. I plan to play through as many as I can get a hold of.
Thus far I've played:
>Banjo Kazooie
>Banjo Tooie
>Conker's Bad Fur Day (going to replay this because I love it so much)
List of games I'm going to play:

Jet Force Gemini is more of an action game than a strict platformer, but it definitely has platforming elements, so I'd recommend that. Just be warned that it starts to take a dive halfway through when it starts to impose collectathons on you.

Yeah, I broke a sweat when I took it to the register. I assumed they would find me out or something. It is one of the best deals I have gotten, and it made me nervous haha.

I don't know if anyone knows what it feels like to get a steal like that on such a great game, but it feels damn good after it is over with... Stressful as hell during. I immediately took it home to make sure it wasn't a boardswap.

I just found out yesterday in my town there's this local game shop.. I'm gonna go back and see if they got any expensive games for cheap.

I saw super mario RPG for around 60$ so I know they have a basic understanding of some the more commonly known expensive titles. One can hope though.

I was able to get 3 turok games for 4$ a piece there though. I just need turok 3 now..

People are recommending Rayman 2, and I'd agree with them. God-tier platformer right there. Another one to consider, though not retro, is Rayman 3. It's not as good, but it's still great and very worth playing. Those fucking Funkyboard stages, oh god.

Don't play Glover, no matter what anybody says. Glover is ass. Chameleon Twist 2 and Bomberman Hero are both pretty great platformers that stray from the open world style (read: Mario 64 clone).

Also, play Rocket: Robot on Wheels soon. It's very good.

I don't think it's very /vr/ related, but I played the first Jak and Daxter game a few weeks ago and just fell in love with it. It reminded me very much of Banjo Kazooie and other collectathon platformers. Definitely check it out.

I enjoyed that the first time I played it, too. Recently I tried playing it again though, and it has a lot of problems. The camera is shit, the combat is very loose and awkward, and the platforming itself feels quite uncomfortable. I tended to die a lot because of camera mishaps and my diving attack move sending me off cliffs. There's a part on Misty Island where you need to fight off a large number of enemies, and this is very bothersome because of how easily you can be hit by them all. Rest assured, I would not have the same kind of difficulty if the game used Mario 64 or BK's engine.
