Where did Lavos go in 2300ad?

>> No.3811397

>>3811293
To another planet. That's what Lavos does.

>> No.3811415 [DELETED]

maybe he went to you're mom's dick lmao

>> No.3811436

It may be implied that the snow mountain area in 2300 AD is infact the remains of Lavos. That's why there are Lavos spawn there.

>> No.3811898

>>3811436
I never understood why people said that. The mountain is thousands of times larger than him and is clearly made of rock and ice. I don't doubt he's ON the mountain somewhere, long dead after he spawned his babies, but I don't think the mountain itself is his corpse.

lavos has to launch his spawn into space which means surfacing

>> No.3812030

>>3811990
So in 1999, Lavos unleashes itself, firing off its babies like pollen, and whatever spawn doesn't escape the atmosphere lands back, triggering Earth's destruction - but that also includes Lavos himself

That sound about right?

>>3811293
Death Peak is where Lavos erupted onto the surface. it's in the center of the map, which is the location associated with Lavos in the other eras (reptite lair, ocean palace, magus castle, heckran cave).

I think Lavos is either dead or dormant in 2300 ad. his spawns are growing, and when they mature they'll take off to find new planets to infect.

Not really that much bigger on the map.
Lavos just looks smaller when you fight it.

He moved in with a wacky neighbor. These two just can't get along though as Lavos tries to balance his love life and his job over the world while his roomate is hitting up the bar scene and can never seem to hold a steady career.

He was probably dead, having already reproduced. His carcass may have been used by the lavos spawns as food/protection, or it became Death Peak.

How do the babies leave the atmosphere? Do they have jet rockets in their asses?

If enough debris from the earth was lifted off the ground as a result of the explosion, it would basically be like a volcano building a mound around itself.

>How do the babies leave the atmosphere? Do they have jet rockets in their asses?

One theory is that a lot of them have already left the planet during the day of lavos, blasting off the planet when lavos erupted from the core of the planet.

For the spawns left over death peak, they are either weaker spawns who never left off and would naturally die soon (relatively speaking), or maybe they would just burrow down the planet and suck on its hot magma core until they too can reproduce.

Once the magma core cools, the planet loses its magnetic field and its atmosphere will slowly break off. Then all they have to do is defeat the gravity of the planet.... but for all we know, they can either just blow up the planet, or eat it by that time.

They are space ticks that feed on planets. Think about it among those lines.

It's been a lot of years since I played Chrono Trigger, but I'm almost positive Lavos lives on Death Peak in 2300AD, and that's why there are Lavos Spawns there. Doesn't Balthasar tell you that?

Death Peak makes sense as being Lavos because it's the place you go to revive Chrono in the first place (aka the place he died)

Lavos was pretty cool. I wish they just kept it as a space tick and not inserted all that bullshit about there being a robot inside it and inside the robot was another guy in a space suit. That was just stupid.

I still consider Lavos to be a great lovecraftian creature, but they needed multiple stages for a boss fight, remember.

I mean, what else would you fight?

Yeah I remember they said Lavos lives on Death Peak in the English dialogue. It could hardly be much different pre-translation.

I still don't know if the Black Omen is a ship or a tower though.

It's supposed to be something like a Star Destroyer. That bit that looks like the top of the "tower" is the raised bridge.

From Belthasar's recordings:

DS: "In the year 1999, Lavos emerged
to claim the surface. Now he has taken the place I've named Death Peak as his
throne—or nest, as it may well be. His miniature spawn now flow from the
mountaintop, an avalanche of death. Lavos is a parasite—a parasite of gargantuan proportions whose host is the planet itself."

SNES: "In 1999, Lavos claims this area, and reigns from high atop Death Peak. Lavos continues to replicate...... like a giant parasite, he is consuming our world."

Most likely has to do with how your model works his way around the map.
Technically if it was a square how would the character go from one end and show up on the opposing side in an instant?
