Syphon Filter is an awesome game that was unfairly labeled as a MGS imitator. The similarities are superficial and Syphon Filter is an excellent third-person shooter with tons of cool features.

A long time ago it used to be that everyone agreed GoldenEye was a pretty cool game and it wasn't a pissing contest. Then it got too much nostalgia hype on the internet and started making a billion top 10 lists with people neglecting superior games, so now everyone feels like they have to say it was dog poop from day one instead of giving it the respect it deserves for coming out in 1997 with the features it had.
