What is it about Treasure games that they appeal to casuals/normies?

From what I understand is that Treasure fans are very sensitive and react harshly to any shitposting and even legit criticism.

Their games are gimmicky (which is confused with innovative), have a casual approach to game design, and use kiddy art styles. Need I say more?

This, too often people call their games innovative which simply isn't true, they come up with novelties and then design the game around it which either works or it doesn't, more often then not it doesn't but it's an interesting approach nonetheless and so that's the value their games bring - something radically different from the norm. But if they were innovative then their games would have a lasting influence which they don't.
