What does /vr/ think about Lazy Game Reviews?
Personally is one of my favorite youtubers, one of the few I approve.

Reviews for retro games are completely pointless because even if you ultimately want to play on real hardware, they're all easy to try out via emulation. And your own opinion formed from actually playing it will always be better than what someone else tries to tell you it should be.

Most people download ROMs in bulk so you know it exists because you can see the game right there. All you have to do is play it and see if you enjoy it.

If you're watching something to find out more about a game then that's different. I'm just saying that no one else's opinion will ever be exactly the same as yours so I see little point in watching a review when in the same amount of time I could just try the game myself.

Sure I guess. That never made much sense to me, but I also don't pay a lot of attention to movie, music or book reviews either. Outside of discussing them with people I know and having a conversation about it, other random people giving their opinion on something is of very little interest to me.

Either way, I think it would be best to form your own opinion and then see what other people think in contrast if that's something that interests you. But that's just me.

Its true, we shouldnt take the opinions of a netreviewer as absolute fact, as if were the word of god, because its not.

People should have different opinions on something, following the opinion of one guy just because its funny, its not right.

People should watch netreviewers to learn about things they have never seen before, to have a laugh, or to see their take on something you actually know, if you are gonna try something you saw, you should try to have an open mind to see beyond what the reviewer said.
