mah nigga. I'll postpone the lynching for not liking platformers. Unfortunately Rad Racer II is just more of the same and doesn't really offer improvements.

Do you hate all side scrollers or just mariolikes? Otherwise you could pick up Castlevania II, Faxanadu, & Zelda II, which are more RPGish.

Also consider picking up Star Tropics, which is a zeldalike.

Castlevania I is a level based game. I guess that makes it more mariolike than Castlevania II.

I've played very little /vr/ stuff, most of my experience coming from ps1 games. I'm only just this year trying to back up and play some SNES/Genesis games. The genesis I've had since the 90s. It was my dad's and about all we played was Golden Axe 2. I've only owned the SNES since 2013

I couldn't beat Mega Man 1 or 2 without save states

I'm autistic and only buy physical copies unless they're absurdly expensive
