The first Darkstalkers came out on PS1 but the port was less than stellar, and the intro was un lower quality due to being FMV instead of actual hardware generated sprites.
Luckily the Saturn port of Night Warriors/vampire hunter included the option to have vampire 1 intro, music and stage color. The intros for Hunter and Savior are good too, but the first game got the best one.
