I can pick up any old resident evil game and play through it any day unless it's the actual original PS1 copy

it's a shame that the original RE1 isn't available on anything as far as I've seen and the director's cut is only available on PSN and I'm not entire sure which version the PC version is

My list is almost entirely nostalgia based, and I'm okay with that. I've had the same group of friends since I was 9 and we still occasionally get together to drink beer and play the same retro games we played together as kids (plenty of non/vr/ gaming, too.) These are just the games I always find myself replaying every few years.

Do these, and mech 2 / mercs/ mech 4 work well with a joystick?

Thinking of replaying them with one, just remember them being good with a mouse.

I played freespace 2 and descent 1 / 2 initially with a gamepad ages ago and more recently with a joystick - the joystick experience is just so much better
