I don't think I've ever seen this game discussed on /vr/ and I never understood why. It's a great game and I'm interested in hearing what you guys think of it.

Ufouria thread.

Oh damn, I absolutely loved this game as a kid. I didn't realize metroidvania was a thing until not so long ago, so I thought this was the only game to have done so.

This game was great. I'm not sure how much of a rip off it was, but I thought I had a great difficulty for kids, so many interesting area's to explore and backtrack too. I think it really goes to show how great a game can be with just a few of these thought out features.

It always annoyed me folks talked about how great Metroid was, but completely ignored Ufouria.
Metroid was shit compared to Ufouria.

One of my favourite late discoveries for the system. Probably one of the best games on the NES for me. Nobody ever talks about it probably because it never came out in America. It's also one of the rare cases where they radically changed the characters for the european release, and honestly they look way better than the original designs. I only wish the game's world was a little bigger and more detailed.

Both are metroidvania games.
The big difference is how you attack enemies.

Ufouria did everything metroid did, only better.

Lurk more. Sunsoft NES games are extremely popular, and for good reason.
