I'd like to add some context behind my choices. I like action sidescrollers that focus on pattern recognition/memorization, with mechanics that are straightforward but offer plenty of depth. I like shmups along with platformers because they both fall into that category, as does Puyo Puyo despite being a puzzle game. Wild Guns and Herzog Zwei are both one of a kind and are amazingly crafted.

Not necessary, I know. Just think it's nice to know why people like what they like.
