There was no excuse for there being no Sega console on the market for a whole year, especially when Japan was still getting tons of excellent games. Sega had nothing to lose to continue giving the folks who paid $400 for a Saturn a few bones to hold them over until Dreamcast. Instead, Sega showcased once again that they were willing to pull the plug on a console early and fuck their consumers over. Which they did once again with the Dreamcast, justifying the decision by those who decided not to buy it for just that reason.

And that's why they're dead.

They are dead as far as making a console goes, however they are still making sonic games and that just downright depresses me cause I actually like games like Streets of Rage, Shining Force, Space Channel 5, Phantasy Star, NiGHTS, and Virtual-On.
