What are you on about, PS1 had THE exclusives of the time; Metal Gear Solid, Symphony of the Night (the Saturn version is practically a bootleg port), Final Fantasy VII, Gran Turismo, plus other solid exclusives like Silent Hill, Klonoa, Syphon Filter, Tekken (it's arcade, but only on PS1 for home), and all these inventive games lie Intelligent Qube and Parappa. It lead a healthy life, and it objectively led the RPG scene, succeeding the SNES. I had an N64 as well and all I played on was Zelda over and over, granted it was an amazing game but it's practically all it had among all these generic platforming games where Mario 64 and Banjo Kazooie was all you needed.

It was a PS1 director's cut originally, and the PC port is inferior. All it really adds is first person movement and the VR missions anyway. And in either case PC isn't in the same topic as consoles.
