I just picked up a SNES emulator for my phone. Any SNES games that are fun to play as though they were a game boy game?

Yes, but the buttons start covering the screen and, in effect, your fingers start covering it too.

Grab up a GBA emulator and play some TBS games, like Fire Emblem, Advance Wars, or Shining Force. Those are great for phones since touch screen controls aren't that precise.

Really? That sucks, but I'm guessing the Android emulation community is larger and more active, since you don't need to root the phone to get emulators working.

Meanwhile my BlackBerry Z10 smokes along without any hiccups emulating the PSX with dem graffix filters enabled.

And that's sad. BlackBerry phones used to be completely divorced from the concept of video games.

Doesn't the Z10 not have a physical keyboard as well? I'm not upgrading from my god-given Bold until they give me another keyboard model.

I've been experimenting with the OpenGL plugin for FPSE, oh sweet jesus 3D games look so much better, Front Mission 3 looks sexy as fuck compared to software emulation.

Unfortunately, it also suffers from random crashes, but I can't decide if I just want to deal with the crashes or go back to software emulation.

>> No.362718

I used to have one of the cheapest androids on the market. (Pantech Crossover)
It emulated PSX games perfectly while the iPhone doesn't run them 98% of the time and crashes the other 1%.
Shit's bad man. Can't wait until my next phone upgrade.

>> No.362751

Anything that is not a Turn based RPG will drive you completely insane. The touch screen is garbage, which is to be expected.

I'm currently playing through Breath of Fire 2 and Mother 1 on my Andriod.

yeah I got really excited about having an emulator treasury on my phone, then i realized how awful the touch controls are. even a simple mario platformer is impossible.

pokemon emerald, both fire emblems, both advance wars, harvest moon...

It's not so bad if you're a fan of RPGs, and you can buy snap on controllers for some nice real buttons if you think you'll use them a lot.

I got this, doubles as an Android tablet and sweet emulation relaxation device.

No keyboard, but it pairs with Wii controllers without any faggotry involved. I don't have the Classic Controller, so I won't do anything but demo PSX games on my phone for people. I'll actually PLAY Gameboy games, since the base Wiimote has enough buttons to do it.

It was just one of the games I had time to rip and copy onto my phone one morning before work. Except for the Policenauts English project, every PSX disc image I have was ripped by myself from my own collection. Heh.

Also GBC games with Super Gameboy frames freak out in the current version of GBAEMU.

I don't know what emulators you're trying to run GBA games on, but my iPhone 4 has no problems at all. Smooth framerates, no choppy sound, etc. I regularly use it in touchscreen mode for exactly as another anon stated, things like RPGs and tactical games, a la Fire Emblem (dem lush animated sprites in the combat display). I pair it with a Wiimote via Bluetooth for things like platformers, or action oriented games.

What emu / phone you using if you don't mind me asking?
