Huh? There's nothing bad about Sonic's design. It's just generic. Mario isn't all that good either. His older design looks like he belonged in some daily newspaper's comic strip. They progressively improved it by making him more "kawai" over time, the complete antithesis of the disgrace that was Sonic's redesign which only made him worse.

Sonic runs around collecting fucking gold rings, emeralds, kickin ass and goin fast.
Mario is a fucking dirty old Italian manlet who couldn't get a real job and had to take up a trade. And surprise suprise his pasta eating brother couldn't Do any better. He's not even good at his job. Not ONCE in any Mario "game" does he actually work. And just like every other greasy Italian, the only thing he does is spend all his time tryna chase girls and sink some pink.
